Check out the Edmonton Journal story on Train Wreck
by Sandra Sperounes

If Molson Canadian, TSN or CBC's Hockey Night In Canada need a new anthem for the upcoming NHL playoffs, they might want to listen to Train Wreck’s new rock ‘em, sock ‘em ditty, I Am Canadian.

“Gonna pump my fist / Paint my face red and white,” frontman Steve Hartley sings on the roots-rock anthem, which even opens with an echo of O Canada. “Work all day / I’ll probably party all night / But I’ll kick your ass if we get in a fight.”

(OK, so some hockey fans might take issue with Hartley’s favourite team — “the rouge, blanc and bleu” — or the four-letter word in the chorus, but it’s used in the most Canadian way.)

I Am Canadian is featured on the Edmonton band’s debut, 24 Hours, available at CD Baby and iTunes
